Pikeland Preparative
Nutts Rd intersection, Kimberton Village, East Pikeland twp., Chester County, PA
Also known as Kimberton, this meeting was set up by Uwchlan Monthly in 1802 after being an indulged meeting since 1758, initially initially under Chester Quarterly. When Uwchlan Monthly was established, this meeting became a part of it. The first meeting house was created in 1758 along the road from Phoenixville to Chester Springs on land donated by Samuel Hoare. In 1802, a second plot of land was purchased at the intersection of Nutts road and a meetinghouse erected there in 1819. At the time of the Separation, the Hicksite branch retained the property and the Orthodox Friends were transferred to Uwchlan Preparative.
