Alesia
Alesia sits in the far north-eastern area of Carroll County, very close to the eastern border of the county. It sits along the railroad line once used by the Western Maryland Railway and is now used by the CSXT railway system. Nearby towns to Alesia include Millers and Lineboro.
Alesia is home to the Alesia Free Methodist Church, located at 4250 Alesia To Lineboro Road.
In the later part of the 19th century, Alesia was one of the many towns in the area which had a small traveling band which performed at local events. The Alesia Band performed for the dedication of the Manchester Fire Hall in 1899, among other performances.
